Lincotec(Malaysia) signed a Sale and Purchase Agreements to strengthen global presence
Linco Technology Co., Ltd. announced that its subsidiary Lincotec Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. had signed a Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPA) for two pieces of industrial land with Senai Airport City Sdn. Bhd. from Malaysia at its headquarters in Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) on December 27, 2024. For the two pieces of industrial land located in Senai Airport City, Johor, with a total area of 9.93 acres (approximately 40,186 square meters), LINCOTEC plan to build a manufacturing plant of thin film sputtering and dry plasma etching equipments.
Established in 1999, LINCOTEC focuses on sputtering and plasma applications, commits to high-quality equipments and technical support services and is the world's No.1 supplier of sputtering equipments for electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) of semiconductor system in package (SiP). Moreover, LINCOTEC takes "sustainable environment", "sustainable innovation", "sustainable governance" and "diverse and inclusive society" as the core concepts of sustainable development, actively implements ESG values and creates a green and smart life.
Malaysia has significant advantages in the semiconductor industry, especially in the field of semiconductor assembly and test, accounting for approximately 13% of the global market and is the world's sixth largest semiconductor exporter. As a strategic industrial hub in Malaysia and close to Singapore, Johor has complete infrastructure and convenient transportation, which has attracted many international investors. Additionally Malaysia government is actively promoting industrial upgrading and plans to invest at least RM 25 billion (about USD 5.33 billion) in the next five to ten years to cultivate 60,000 highly-skilled local semiconductor engineers to enhance the country's competitiveness in the global chip industry.
According to the agreement, LINCOTEC will complete the first phase of plant construction within the next two years and further promote the application of core technologies in advanced semiconductor processes. This move not only marks the company's deepening presence in the Southeast Asian market, but also demonstrates its commitment to improving its manufacturing and R&D capabilities.

As a major industrial development area in Johor, Senai Airport City has attracted many international investors with its superior infrastructure and strategic location. The completion of this agreement will further consolidate the region's position as a high-tech industry hub.
