As the demand for high-performance end products continues to grow, manufacturing processes are constantly adopting advanced materials and more complex production technologies and formulations. Therefore, optimizing process formulations and the specifications and performance of process equipment is crucial to mass production. This relies on collaboration with equipment suppliers for generating product samples and conducting verification.
In the fields of film sputtering and plasma etching applications, including the control of plasma sources, the design and simulation of electric fields, and process gas ratios, the manufacturing processes are becoming increasingly complex, requiring an industry of accumulated knowledge and experimental data. This also relies on Design of Experiment (DOE) capabilities of equipment suppliers to industrialize and scale up to mass production with laboratory formulations. Lincotec has rich equipment manufacturing experience and strong technical capabilities, and is able to collaborate with customers to develop and verify new processes. Our various engineering capabilities and detailed specifications will be provided according to actual needs during technical discussion. The following briefly outlines the sampling service process:
- Submission of Needs:
- Please leave your contact information and a brief description of your sampling needs on the Contact Us page of our official website. If it's a sputtering film sample, please provide information on the substrate material, film deposition material, and verification specifications (e.g., ABF substrate with deposition of Ti 100 um and Cu 300 um after surface cleaning, with Adhesion: 5B, NU% < 5%). If it's a plasma etching sample, please provide details such as the name of the material to be etched, the etching material, and verification specifications (e.g. RDL process with L/S: 10 um/10 um application, etching 10um Cu on via walls and bottoms, aspect ratio 10:1, and no material peeling).
- Technical Discussion and Quotation:
- After leaving contact information, Lincotec will promptly get in touch with you and discuss the sampling strategy and corresponding quotation based on your provided requirements. If both parties confirm that the sampling strategy is feasible, arrangements will be made according to the sample delivery schedule and our internal sampling schedule.
- Surface Pretreatment:
- Lincotec Sampling Department has various surface pretreatment capabilities, including vacuum drying and plasma surface cleaning, to properly prepare the product before sample preparation.
- Plasma Etching Process:
- For related technical capabilities, please refer to the description in the application area, or the description of plasma etching products and technical capabilities.
- Film Sputtering Process:
- For related technical capabilities, please refer to the description in the application area, or the description of film sputtering products and technical capabilities.
- Live Demo:
- Because film sputtering or plasma etching processes are typically part of a series of production processes, some product characteristics require etching or sputtering to be carried out within a certain time frame after the preceding or subsequent processes. For such sampling needs, Lincotec provides a Live Demo service that can process the samples provided by the customer and allow pick-up on the same day, facilitating production verification for both preceding and subsequent processes.
- Post-Sampling Verification:
- After completing product sampling, we will record the appearance of the samples, measure the results of the process, and provide a sampling report with improvement recommendations. In addition to assisting with experimental measurements in our own laboratory, Lincotec can help send products to third parties for advanced testing or independent verification.
- Packaging and Shipping:
- Because post-processing of film sputtering or plasma etching processes often requires high cleanliness, Lincotec can assist in vacuum packaging and shipping to avoid contamination and facilitate the use of products in post-processing.
- Development and Specification of Equipment:
- Sampling is a necessary verification procedure before mass production. In addition to meeting process parameter requirements for actual mass production, considerations must include production capacity, automation, UPH, Cpk, or equipment use and maintenance costs (Cost of Ownership; COO). Lincotec has independent intellectual property rights and extensive process equipment development experience, allowing us to collaborate with customers in developing process equipment as needed.
In this regard, Lincotec is capable of mastering the key technologies of film sputtering and plasma etching, possesses an independent knowledge base for selecting suitable process configurations based on material characteristics, and can collaborate with customers on process development and experimental verification. In addition to providing sampling services in various process formulations during the R&D phase, we have a qualified and highly precise laboratory for sample testing.
